How to look up the mapping of Coveo Field to Actual Source Field

this lists the available field aliases that can be used. date = sysdate. when I look at sysdate in the cloud admin on the FIELDS page, I cannot see exactly which field in the actual source this field maps to.

where can that mapping be seen for this field (and for any other field)?

for example for Salesforce Knowledge Articles. The sysdate field is present, but nothing in the cloud admin shows what actual field in the Salesforce knowledge object this Coveo field maps to. There are many date fields on the salesforce knowledge article. how do i know which one it maps to? how can this information be found in Coveo? It does not appear to be present in the Cloud Admin page under Fields at all.

There is currently no way to see the mappings for a specific field using the Cloud Admin.

But you can use the Coveo Cloud Platform API to get that information.

Look at the Source section (using the drop down in the upper right corner) and the call GET /rest/organizations/{organizationId}/sources/page/fields (make sure to authenticate yourself using the On/Off switch button). Enter your organizationId and the name of the field for the filter parameter. Then click Try it out!

Hope it helps,

is Organization Name (shown in Cloud Admin > Settings) the same as Organization ID? I do not see any organization id shown anywhere in the cloud admin. I am trying that - it seems to be working. However….

this process is asking for access and manage my chatter data, access and manage ALL my data, in order to run. That sounds pretty much ridiculous and a wild over-reach just to get the mapping of coveo fields to actual source fields.

Coveo Admin is asking to:

Access your basic information
Access and manage your Chatter data
Access and manage your data
Do you want to allow access for <my email address>
Deny Allow

The organization ID can be found in the URL when you are in the Coveo Cloud Administration Console. It's a string without spaces that looks like your organization name.
