Coveo for Sitecore, Coveo Search REST remote server error 408

I have a Sitecore version 8 that I'm trying to connect to a remote Coveo CES 7 server. I'm getting an error "The remote server returned an error: (408) Request Timeout.".

Most of the diagnostic page is green, except for the Coveo Search REST Endpoint()…

If I go to my Sitecore's /coveo/rest page, I get the following message…

If I try to connect to Coveo's /rest/search, I get prompted to Authentication, but nothing I use seems to work…

What Authentication would it be looking for here? I tried the account user I setup on the Coveo remote server, but that isn't working…

Have you checked the checkbox "This installation is for Sitecore" when installing the Coveo Search API? Is the allowImpersonate parameter set to true in your config.yml? Is the secret token matches between Coveo for Sitecore and the Coveo Search API?

1) I'm pretty sure I selected the "Sitecore" checkbox when I installed, is there a way to confirm? 2) yes, confirmed. 3) yes, confirmed.

Even when I'm on the Coveo server directly, going to the /rest/search is prompting me for Auth, but fails for the user I set when I installed Coveo. Is there a way to check or reset which user this is looking for?

Uninstalled and reinstalled the Search API, and it's working now. Guess I just fat fingered something.
