Indexing in Coveo Cloud timeout

When transitioning from on premise to Coveo Cloud, we tried creating new indexes, but we got this exception:

Job started: Index_Update_IndexName=Coveo_web_index|#Exception: System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> Coveo.Framework.Exceptions.CoveoSearchProviderException: Inactivity timeout expired. Not all documents were committed in the allotted time (01:00:00). Aborting the rebuild task. at Coveo.CloudPlatformClient.DocumentManagement.CloudPlatformDocumentsHandler.AreDocumentsCommitted(UInt32 p_ActualTotalCount, UInt32 p_ExpectedTotalCount, String p_SourceName) at Coveo.CloudPlatformClient.DocumentManagement.CloudPlatformDocumentsHandler.<>c__DisplayClass46.<CreateAddedDocumentsPoller>b__43(IIncrementingPollerController controller) at Coveo.Framework.Synchronization.IncrementingPoller.WaitUntilComplete()

I had a look in the logs and found this:

ManagedPoolThread #17 11:45:16 Coveo.CloudPlatformClient.DocumentManagement.CloudPlatformDocumentsHandler+<>cDisplayClass46.<CreateAddedDocumentsPoller>b43(:0) INFO [Rebuilding source "CoveoWeb"] Committed documents: 67603 / 70282

Source: Coveo.CloudPlatformClient

So it seems it stopped just before finishing de index.

How and where can we increase the timeout so the re-index keeps running until finished?

Best regards,

Hi Rik,

Many things can cause the inactivity timeout, and increasing the timeout is usually not the logical solution. If the indexed document count haven't changed in the last hour, it's probably because something else is preventing the remaining documents to be correctly indexed or queried.

Look at the inactivity timeout article and try to find what is your issue.

Best regards,

Can you provide your Sitecore and Coveo for Sitecore versions including the build numbers please?
