What can be the cause for a page result to hide or not be found if a term is included to the search?

We have a new document indexed but it is now shown in the results list if an specific term is used.

Example if I search for 'Information Management group' I get a direct hit to the page but if I search 'Information Management group EIM' i get zero hits. Actually this acronym is used multiple times but it yield no results.

I can search for other acronyms or word in the page but this EIM works as some kind of filter.

Does the term EIM actually exist in a document?

Yes the term EIM is used multiple times in the same page and so other acronyms that we are able to search for successfully.

When you say that you search for 'Information Management Group EIM', do you mean that you search with the quotes ? If so, is EIM occurring next to Information Management Group as a whole ?

With or without quotes makes no difference. If i search for EIM alone i get no results from the search interface or from the index directly.

If i search for the exact phrase in quotes the page is not found. if I remove the term EIM the page gets listed in the resutls

Following you last comment, I wonder, are you using a thesaurus, that might for example replace EIM with something else ?

We found that the document is indexed but its content is not added to the cache. It turns out a custom postprocesor is failing to process the files so some of the content is not searchable. In this case we opened a support case to fix the postprocesor.
