Sitecore pipelines

In the documentation for Coveo for Sitecore ( on page https://developers.coveo.com/display/public/SC201412/Altering+Search+Results+Before+They+Are+Displayed+in+a+Search+Interface ) you describe how to alter a searchresult before showing it. The problem here is that you need to have a Coveo.SearchProvider.Rest.dll reference and that dll is not included in the Coveo for Sitecore package. Is the documentation wrong or is the file just missing?

If I open the Coveo for Sitecore 72 3.0 (834).zip file and extract it I will not find the dll-file but all other Coveo dlls, I promise you that.

The build number of the December 2014 release is 863 as you can see in the documentation : https://developers.coveo.com/display/SC201412/Installing+Coveo+for+Sitecore+on+a+Single+Host

The 834 build is a hotfix build based on the October 2014 release.

The Coveo.SearchProvider.Rest.dll file was introduced in the November 2014 release (784) of the Coveo for Sitecore package. The documentation you linked is for the December 2014 release of the product. If you have an older version, you must upgrade to use this feature.

As you said Im using the December release and that is newer that the november release. Did you misunderstand it or has the dll been removed from the December release Coveo for Sitecore 72 3.0 (834).zip ???

The DLL is present starting from the November package, so it's in the December release as well. If you don't have it, it means something is wrong with your installation.

Ahh, that was the explanation. I did not know that it was a hotfix you gave us at the time we installed it in production and that it wasn't a complete installation. Thank you, I will use this instead.
