IncludeTemplate or ExcludeTemplate

Hi,

If I'm trying to control what gets indexed, should I use IncludeTemplate or ExcludeTemplate in the CoveoSearchProvider.config? If I add a couple of value in IncludeTemplate and re-index, then it indexes just a few items as expected. It doesn't index anything in core. {0E1410ED-0AEF-4715-9950-6B131B642DE2} {AFCE0E4A-9225-47B8-BE51-F3940E1E3F45}

But then when I run the search page, I get an error saying:

Exception Details: System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: key Source Error: Line 8:

So, is a better approach to add templates i don't want to index in the ExcludeTemplate section?

Hi,

I don't think the error is related… have you tried withtout the include/exclude templates if the error goes away in the search page?

Yes, the error goes away, if i comment out the includetemplate. Now I'm actually using the InboundFilters configuration to add the path, I need indexed. Is there a way to specify path that I don't need indexed? Or is that something I would have to custom write?

Thanks!

Hi,

You would need to write your own inbound filter for that.
