CES URL to health check a server?

Using Coveo for Sitecore, we're setting up load-balancing for Coveo cluster (Master + mirror). It's for failover, not distributing load. I see a keep-alive web service between Coveo servers, but is there an external url (or something) that we can check to determine the health of a Coveo Server?

Our preference is to fail over to the mirror only if there is a problem on Master.

Thanks!

Not really. The CES Service as a SOAP web server on port 52810. Using a load balancer, you can try to ping this service to make sure it responds.

But a URL … not really. The old .Net Front End has a fallback option directly in it's web.config. It is not as evolved as what you can get with a NLB, but it works! So far it has not been ported to the JS framework however.

Hope it helps,
Simon
