Coveo and Lucene Indexes Concurrently?

We are trying to determine if it is possible to run Coveo and Lucene indexes within the same SItecore instance. We have some existing sites that are dependent on Lucene indexes and need to keep intact along with a newer site that will utilize Coveo. Has anyone acheived this?

By default, it seems like the indexes we had in place no longer show up in the Indexing Manager.

Hi,

You can follow this : https://developers.coveo.com/display/SC201501/Using+Lucene+Analytics+Index+With+Coveo+Indexes for any Lucene index you're trying to use.

Thank you

Can you clarify what exactly this is doing? This looks to me like this changes the index to use the Coveo search provider.

This is simply changing the type of the "SearchConfiguration" object which is needed to recognize Coveo and Lucene indexes at the same time. But this will use the Lucene index configurations.

Thank you. I just did a quick test and this seemed to do the trick.
