Using EnableRankingInformation

Does EnableRankingInformation work with the Sitecore Free Edition?

Following the instructions on the page do not work.

It works but the UI in the linked documentation is the .Net UI. Coveo for Sitecore uses the JS UI. Thus, you won't see the "Show Details" link and the "Ranking weights" tab.

To see this information in the JS UI, you need to press the Left Alt key while double-clicking on a result to open its debug modal box. The ranking information is at the bottom of the modal box content.

"In the Admin, when I do a search "

Since he is in the coveo admin shouldn't it just show up under details? For us it does not even after searching for enablerankinginformation.

Thanks, this works. However, at the bottom of the model box, I get:

Ranking Info null

The details section of the Index Browser result template does not have the "Ranking weights" tab. This tab is only available in the .Net Front-End search interfaces result template.

Do you sort by relevance or by anything else? You need to sort by relevance to have ranking applied.

I see this did work on the front-end. Like you say I guess we just don't have the tab on the back end. For reference here were the steps: -Search for EnableRankingInformation -perform the actual search (if sorted by relevance)

  • alt + left Arrow + double-click on the result to see the fields with ranking info.

The key to keep pressed is only [Left Alt], the Alt key at the left of the space bar. The [Left Arrow] key is useless.

In the Admin, when I do a search in the Index Browser for "enablerankinginformation”, I get the following result:

No results found for “enablerankinginformation” Only results matching the refine constraints are displayed. [Clear All]

This is the purpose. You query this, and then on the query results you will be able to see the ranking information (you will have to check them in your Network tab of Chrome, for instance).
