Coveo Install Fails on 2008R2

Hello All, I am trying to install Coveo Enterprise Search 7.0 (x64) on Windows 2008R2. I start the install by right clicking the Coveo Enterprise Search 7.0 x64 (7402) for Sitecore.exe file and choosing run as Administrator. After nothing for several minutes I get an error message.

Installation Failed Setup was interrupted before Coveo Enterprise Search 7.0 (x64) could be completely installed.

Anyone have a clue as to what is going on? The message is not as helpful as it could be.

You might have a more verbose message in the Event Viewer logs of Windows. I would take a look at both Application and System

There is one entry that just says failed. and another that says:

Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: Coveo Enterprise Search 7.0 (x64). Product Version: 7.0.7402. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Coveo. Installation success or error status: 1603.

Both are in the application log.

Is UAC enabled on the server? If so, can you try again after having disabled it? A reboot would be required.

I have disabled UAC and rebooted. I will try to install again and let you know the results.

Is the computer on which you are installing Coveo Enterprise Search have access to the Internet? The installer is built to download and install missing prerequisites automatically. When the installer does not have access to the Internet, prerequisite installations will fail.

You can refer to this page for details on the installation:

The software prerequisites are listed at the end of this page:
