Instructions for Sitecore 8 MVC Search Page

Wondering if there are instructions for creating a Coveo Search Page for MVC instances including relevant placeholders? The link on this page doesn't appear to be active - it just reroutes to the main page. Thanks.

There is a section for MVC in the October 2014 documentation:

This section was since removed. You can use the "Testing it Out" page of the "Coveo for Sitecore 101" section to add a simple MVC search page:

What do you want to know exactly about placeholders? For an out of the box Coveo Search Page (MVC), the placeholders are clickable in the Experience Editor and you can add components in them like facets and sorting controls.

Something went wrong on the server. If the problem persists contact the administrator.". For this particular project I'm going to play with a non-mvc site, but will need to get the mvc one working eventually. Thanks.

Do you have any erroneous test in the Coveo for Sitecore Diagnostic Page?

In your browser, you can simply open the developer tools in the network tab, click on the search button in your search page and inspect the REST HTTP request response. It will contain the details about the error and help you to troubleshoot the problem.
