None of the specified endpoints were reachable

I have a 2nd sitecore instance on my local machine , on which I want to use coveo for sitecore. I get the above error when I try re-indexing from my 2nd sitecore instance. Re-indexing works fine on my 1st sitecore instance. I have verified config files every thing looks same as 1st sitecore instance. In the coveo diagnostic page on 2nd instance sitecore control panel I see the above error as well. What am I missing?

"None of the specified endpoints were reachable" is a RabbitMQ client error message. It seems your second Sitecore instance is unable to establish the connection to RabbitMQ.

  1. Did you look at your Sitecore log files to see if there's errors or warnings about Coveo?
  2. When you say "every thing looks same", does your QueuePassword and SitecorePassword elements are the same too?
  3. Did you copy the configuration file from the first instance to the second?

If you did copy the configuration file, you may have forgot to also copy the encryption keys that are used to encrypt/decrypt the QueuePassword and SitecorePassword elements. They are located in the \[Data Folder]\Coveo\ConfigurationEncryptionKeys folder.

Everything was perfect , when I looked for my Sitecore log files, they were missing. Then I realized my datafolder setting in the config was still pointing to instance 1 data folder. After correcting the "DataFolder" path it started working:)
