How do you update your license after it is expired?

How do you update your license after it is expired? I strongly suspect that is the reason I'm getting the following error however I'm not able to start CES at all to replace the license. Thanks.

Coveo Entreprise Search seems to be unavailable. Please make sure that the service is installed and started.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred.

CES is supposed to start even with an expired license. When accessing the CES Administration Tool, an admin will be redirected to a page to enter a new license.

With Coveo for Sitecore, the CES license is embedded in the Coveo for Sitecore license. Updating the Coveo for Sitecore license and trying to index at least 1 item will automatically update the CES license.

Check in the Windows Event Viewer to see why CES refuses to start.
