Question by Diego, May 22, 2015 9:49 AM

When installing coveo for sitecore I get the following error

Could not find property 'DefaultNumberOfResults' on object of type: Coveo.Framework.Configuration.CoveoIndexConfiguration

This is an existing build version 7.2 803 and I'm upgrading to 7.2 1000 and when I install I get this error message which essentially breaks sitecore. After that I can´t do anything on sitecore unless I disable coveo configs and try again. Any thoughts?

In your SearchProvider.config file, the line : 10 is under the node ?

For this particular issue, you should upgrade your config file as explained in this upgrade procedure. https://developers.coveo.com/display/SC201412/Upgrading+Coveo+for+Sitecore

I would also suggest to check the differences between the Coveo.SearchProvider.config and Coveo.SearchProvider.config.example files. I guess several elements are missing or outdated in your Coveo.SearchProvider.config file.

I hope this helps.

Agree with Luc, a good way to upgrade is to disable Coveo/Re-enable Lucene and use a merging tool after the upgrade to copy the custom content of your .old to your .example.
