Index was not found

Hi,

We have a multi server Coveo Sitecore setup where we have the CA and CES installed on one server and CD installed on another server.

We receive "Index was not found" error. details are below. I checked Coveo SearchProvider config and verified the index name and source name. Not sure why we are getting this message?

ERROR MESSAGE:

Source Error:
Line 35:     var bx = Model.ToCoveoFieldName("Brand") + "==" + brandName ;

I just checked Coveo's source code and didn't find this error message. I guess that it is thrown by Sitecore itself.

Can you give me the following information:

  • What is your Sitecore version (with the revision)?
  • What is your Coveo for Sitecore exact version (name of the package file you installed)?
  • Was Coveo for Sitecore upgraded on the servers? What was the previous version?
  • Do you see your Coveo indexes in the ShowConfig.aspx page?
  • What is the database used by your Sitecore site (Web or something else)? (<site name="..." database="???" />)
  • Do you have a Coveo index configured for that database? (<index id="..." type="Coveo.SearchProvider.ProviderIndex, Coveo.SearchProvider"> ... <Database>Your database</Database> ... </index>)
  • What is the value of the <Root> node of that Coveo index?

Thanks

Your configuration seems to be correct.

  1. Can you give me the complete stack trace of your ASP.Net error please? It would be really helpful to see which method is throwing the exception.
  2. Can you give me the content of the <indexing.filterIndex.inbound> node in your ShowConfig.aspx please?

  1. so I can't seem to reproduce the error message we originally saw. Instead, we're seeing a 503 error.
  2. the content of the node is as follows:

Node:

<indexing.filterIndex.inbound patch:source="Coveo.SearchProvider.config">
  <processor type="Sitecore.ContentSearch.Pipelines.IndexingFilters.ApplyInboundIndexFilter, Sitecore.ContentSearch" patch:source="Sitecore.ContentSearch.config" />
</indexing.filterIndex.inbound>

Your <indexing.filterIndex.inbound> node seems to be correct.

Can you check today's Sitecore logs to see if there's exceptions that can explain the 503 error? Paste here if any. Edit your original question to include the errors if it doesn't fit in a comment please.

Thanks
