Thesaurus documentation outdated?

The current thesaurus documentation https://onlinehelp.coveo.com/en/ces/7.0/user/whatisthe_thesaurus.htm

seems to be out of date with respect to multi-word search phrases. We are finding that quotes are not necessary for the thesaurus feature to identify phrases and expand them with synonyms.

Is there more up to date documentation somewhere, and specifically describing how the thesaurus feature works with complex search phrasing?

Thanks!

Hi, You are right, quotes are no longer necessary for the thesaurus to expand multiple words queries with synonyms, I'll make sure the documentation gets adjusted.

I don't think there is a more in-depth documentation about the thesaurus, do you have a particular issue you would like help with ?

Ideally I'd like to present the business user with a detailed explanation of how the thesaurus algorithm expands queries. I saw in the CES manager reporting that the facility is pretty cool in what it's doing, but I'd like to give the user a very detailed and precise spec of how it works. They have some very precise search requirements for legal documents. Any ideas how I could get that? Thanks!
