Error after upgrading to .net 4.61
We are in the progress of upgrading our site to Sitecore 8 and Coveo for Sitecore and we want to run in parallel until we are completed. But as soon we upgraded to .NET 4.6.1 our old site which uses the Front End Server (1459) now generates and error and the search errors out. The error we receive is
System.Web.HttpUnhandledException (0x80004005): Exception of type 'System.Web.HttpUnhandledException' was thrown. ---> System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. at Coveo.CES.Web.Search.ErrorReporting.GetControlForIndexConnectionError(Exception p_Exception) at Coveo.CES.Web.Search.Controls.SearchHub.OnInit(EventArgs p_Args) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer)
Is there a work around for this?
Access violation exceptions in Coveo .NET search pages have been reported by some customers after upgrading the .NET Framework. The fix will be included in the June 2016 release. The call stacks were showing calls to the CMF API though (Coveo.Cmf.ClrPinner.dll), contrary to yours. So I'm not sure if it's the same issue. If upgrading to June (when it becomes available) does not fix the issue, I'd suggest to report the issue to Coveo support for further investigation.
