Sitecore security provider for non-sitecore sources?

We are primarily indexing Sitecore, but have several non-sitecore sources (sql server tables, sharepoint) we have indexed separately.

Is it possible for the non-sitecore indexes to be configured so they allow full access (via coveo rest) to indexed documents for any sitecore (i.e. "everyone") authenticated user? Seems like these are only accessible if Active Directory credentials are proffered.

Thanks.

Hi,

Which version of Coveo for Sitecore are you using (v3/v4)? Which version of the Coveo index are you using (Coveo Cloud/CES 7)?

Thanks

Hi,

For Coveo for Sitecore 3.0 and 4.0 with an on-premises CES7 index, you need to configure the permissions on each of the external sources to specify the Everyone role of Sitecore should have access to the documents (see step 3c of Displaying External Content in a Search Interface).

For Coveo for Sitecore 4.0 with a Coveo Cloud index, you need to provide additional user identities at query time for the different systems you indexed.

Do not hesitate to comment if you need additional information.

Thanks,

Jeff
