Cocveo Cloud Password Expiry

Hi, I came to know that there is no password expiry notification for the Coveo cloud users accounts. My Question is, If we created a dedicated account for making REST API calls to Coveo index, and if that password expires the REST API request will fail to authenticate is it? And essentially it will lead to breaking of functionality.

Does any one come across this? If so, what could be the solution apart from setting the reminders to change the password :-)

-Thanks Mahesh Patil

In the cloud, there is no expiration of the password in the cloud solution. The only thing to keep an eye for is the expiration of your license.

Kind regards, Simon

Thanks Simon, In our situation, password policy is enforced in settings for our instance. So, in that case I believe the password for every account/user will expire after X number of days. Due to this, the REST API calls which are configured to use these credentials will stop working right?

Thanks- Mahesh

No it won't. The application will connect to the REST API with an API key, this API key is retrieved once and will not expire. It is also not linked to your credentials, so even if they change, the independent API key will not be affected
