How can I mix Coveo components with Coveo Hive components in Sitecore?

Currently I have Coveo components and custom components based on Coveo components on my page. I would to like the Breadcrumb component for selected facets, which is a Coveo Hive component.

I see that Coveo Hive has it's own set of js files - "Coveo Hive Resources". Is it ok to include both sets of js files into my layout to mix and match components? Or mixing is not recommended?

Thank you!

Yes, you can use Custom Components mixed with Coveo for Sitecore Hive Components! In fact, I recommend you to do so :)

Many custom components were created for Coveo for Sitecore Hive, and they are all implemented as Custom Coveo JavaScript Search Framework components, you can have a look at all of them here: Coveo for Sitecore Hive Components Reference

There are currently many topics that are coming soon in the documentation about Custom Components implementations in Hive, so for now, you can have a look at some of the questions on this site, especially this one which explains some basics about Hive's back-end framework.

And stay tuned for documentation links! :)

I think you misunderstood my question - I am asking if Coveo legacy components can be mixed with the new Hive components. If yes, then do I need to include both sets of js files? (These are files from \Sitecore\Website\Coveo\js and \Sitecore\Website\Coveo\Hive\js, respectively) or do the newer Hive files cover functionality of the legacy components?

Thank you
