sfbestcommentid is not getting indexed in salesforce Knowledgebase

Hello,

I am indexing salesforce knowledgebase and field sfbestcommentid (which represents the best answers in the community) is not getting indexed. Field is mapped and selected in the configuration. Please assist at the earliest. Cheers, Vikas

Hi Vikas

We had the same problem, although I'm assuming you are trying to get it on Feed Items though rather than SF knowledge?.

Support gave us this as a fix:

Add this into the JSON for the source

},
"CrawlChatterByObject": {
"sensitive": false,
"value": "false"
},

Once you rebuild the source you should see it against the feed items.

Thank you very much. I do have a follow up question. Once sfbestcommentid is available in FeedItems, how can I associate it with FeedComments where the actual answer resides?

My requirement is to create a facet called "Best Answer" which I believe can only be obtained from FeedComments.

Cheers,

Vikas

I'm struggling with something similar at the moment.

You probably don't need to worry about associating the feed items and comments as they live on the same page / result (ie you wouldn't send a user to a page to view the comment without also showing them the original feed item).

You can use it as a filter in a tab or similar (show only items where NOT sfbestcommentid = " "), but I am not sure about making it as a facet. Maybe you could map it to another field called "hasBestAnswer" that is a Y/N?

Thanks for the prompt response. I need to be able to identify if a answer is best or not, and the easiest way to do it would be to associated the best comment id with the answer. In data base terms it is very easy to do as the best answer id is available with the parent. Not sure how to attempt it with a python extension or connector configuration. Please share your thoughts.
