Customizing Omnibox for AA Accessibility Compliance

I'm working on a Sitecore site that will need to be AA compliant with accessibility requirements and I see that most out of the box Coveo components are missing aria tags from inputs, buttons, etc. What's the most direct route for me to customize the Omnibox HTML to include these extra attributes?

The most direct route for WCAG AA compliance would be to write your own custom version of those components if you want them right now.

If you are ready to wait some weeks, there is already an ongoing effort in the JS UI project for that exact compliance level. Some of the tasks are completed and the last ones are in progress. Once it will be released in the official JS UI product, it should land in Coveo for Sitecore under 6 weeks (one release cycle) after.

Is this in place in Coveo for Sitecore 4.1? If so, are there any instructions for implementing?
