Should I use Coveo for Sitecore 4 or 5?

Hi everyone, I am not sure if I should use coveo for sitecore 4 or 5. I am using sitecore 8.2 update 2 and also CES 7.0 x64 Build 9167.0. Looks like that I can use ether according to https://docs.coveo.com/en/750/coveo-for-sitecore-v4/installing-coveo-for-sitecore and

https://docs.coveo.com/en/2344/coveo-for-sitecore-v5/installing-coveo-for-sitecore

but not sure.

Thanks

Coveo for Sitecore v5 is only able to index items in Coveo Cloud. If you really want your index to be on-premises, you are stuck with v4. Note that v4 will not get any new feature. It will only receive bug fixes. V5 is the version that will receive new features every month.

Personally, I recommend v5 with a Coveo Cloud index.

Hi @Jean-François L'Heureux, Thanks so much, in that case I will stick with version 4 cause I amusing on-premise. I am with Coveo for Sitecore 4.0.1536.6 and I want to upgrade to a version where I can replace the AddTemplatesForIndexedItems with the AddTemplatesWithLayout processor to improve the performance according to this link https://docs.coveo.com/en/946/coveo-for-sitecore-v4/understanding-the-coveoindexinggetfields-and-coveoindexinggettemplates-pipelines

Could you please let me know if there is a coveo version 4.0.X that I can upgrade and use that processor instead?

Thanks
