How are SharePoint groups handled by the Security Provider?

I currently have a SharePoint source configured with a claims security provider. In the logs, there are several warnings along the lines of:

Error while expanding group <Member name="Site Collection Administrators" type="Group"><Info key="CrossSite" val="true" /><Info key="SiteURL" val="https://moss.company.com/" /></Member> (class CGLSharePoint::InvalidResponseException: The request failed with an empty response.)

I noticed that the value for SiteURL is an old URL that is no longer valid. Where does that value come from and how would I go about updating it?

It's an old URL that was once added in the security cache. Once an entity is added to the cache it is never deleted, but we will try to expand it nonetheless on each security cache updates for security reasons. Those warnings are not dramatic, it should not impact your current setup. Unfortunately, there is no way to remove an entity from the security cache selectively, the only way is to delete the content of the index and rebuild all the sources!

Thanks. When you say delete the content of the index and rebuild, does that mean for all collections and sources or just the ones for SharePoint?
