what is the difference between filter for Facet Value is X and Source Name is X as filters in reports?

My understanding of using the Facet Value is X seems to be when X has been selected as a filter, this will be included in the report.

what exactly is the difference between using Facet Value is X and Source Name is X?

For example, when I am looking at activities, such as queries: When I specify that Source Name is Knowledge, I get 356 queries. When I specify that Facet Value is Knowledge I get 123 queries, for the same period of time.

When I use Facet Value, I see has clicks as true and false - both exist and show up. When I use Source Name, I see has clicks is always 100%.

Those two are different dimensions. The Facet Value is a custom dimension and can be pushed in any type of events. Note that if a facet was not used, there will be no facet value. The source name is a dimension that is only available on clicks, so it is normal that the has clicks is always 100%.

For more information on the available dimension, please refer to the online help.

still does not answer my question. this sort of thing should be documented somewhere, so it is more straightforward to get correct accurate results from the reports.
