SSO in Coveo Cloud using Coveo for Sitecore 4

I’m working with Sitecore as an Intranet site sitting behind Single Sign On Windows Authentication.

I’m aware of how to configure authentication for OnPrem but is there a configuration for Cloud Coveo to pass the authorization headers when requesting the /coveo/rest service?

So I wrote this question in order to document this specific functionality.

Coveo for Sitecore leverages the Expanded Permission Provider, a Security Provider using a PUSH mechanism.

When pushing to that provider, Coveo for Sitecore will add the Sitecore identity but will also expend the mapping to other sources of identities, such as the email which is often used on Sitecore users. To add this mapping, it uses the getusermapping processor in the REST Endpoint Pipeline.

To add additional Identities, such as Salesforce or SharePoint, you can use the getSearchUserIdentities processor in the same pipeline.

Simon, I am curious -- does this address the issue of the HTML Processor using these credentials to authenticate against the site when it attempts to retrieve the rendered content?
