'Sort By: Relevance|Date' in Sitecore

I see documentation for the OTB "Sort By: Relevance|Date" in the Coveo built-in search interfaces: https://onlinehelp.coveo.com/en/ces/7.0/user/changinghowresultsaresorted.htm https://onlinehelp.coveo.com/en/ces/7.0/administrator/whatisasortfield.htm

However, I don't see that feature in our Coveo-Sitecore layouts. Am I missing something, or do I have to build my own? https://developers.coveo.com/display/public/JsSearch/Sort+Component https://developers.coveo.com/display/public/SC201503/Field+Sort+Component+Properties

I see a placeholder in the Search control:

<% if (Model.DisplaySorting) { %>
    <div class="coveo-sort-section">
        <sc:placeholder key="coveo-sorts" runat="server"></sc:placeholder>
    </div>
<% } %>

I assume this "coveo-sorts" placeholder is where the Sort Control(s) gets inserted.

Hello,

Indeed. You have to insert a Coveo Sort component (there are 3 kinds, Relevance, Date and Field) in this placeholder, either by the Content Editor or by the Page Editor.

Thank you

okay, cool. If I insert multiple Sort Controls, can I approximate the dual functionality of "Sort By: Relevance|Date"?

Yes, you can insert a Relevance and a Date sort. You can insert multiple of them as well.
